Two-hour Workshops sponsored by the Artisan Center of Virginia

Using saws, chisels, files and rasps, students carve small animal fetishes from stone blanks supplied by the instructor. After finishing with dry and wet sandpaper ranging from 60 to 600 grit, they dry each piece and coat with three coats of clear wax. Final buffing produces a high gloss shine.
